The environments and settings are so incredible. With just 3 seasons, it is astounding how they made this immense world with so much rich lore.

Sixth and finally, the world building is incredible. Every episode has meaning and is necessary. No episode is useless, and that is the beauty of the show. Every single episode either provides us with character development or furthers the overall story. Basically every TV show has filler episodes, but not Avatar the Last Airbender. Unlike a Netflix TV show, once you watch Avatar the Last Airbender through once, you can easily go back and watch your favorite episodes without being left on a cliffhanger (for most, some episodes are part 1 and part 2). By episodic, I mean that most every episode is its own contained story while they still add to character development or enhance the overall story. Fourth, the fact that this is an episodic series is so incredible. Third, despite being made in the mid-2000s the animation is incredible, the fight scenes are beautiful, and the overall qua lity is just astounding. Second, Avatar the Last Airbender can make you cry, it can make you laugh, it can pump you up, essentially it can do everything a good TV show is supposed to do. I put kid in quotations because this show can be enjoyed by any age. It is amazing that these characters are on a "kid's" TV show. The development that happens in just 3 seasons for these characters is incredible. First, the characters are all amazing and unique. Avatar the Last Airbender is the best cartoon ever made. Let me preface this by saying that the title is not an overstatement. Boyd Holbrook positively ratchets up the terrifying tension as the murderous Corinthian, the ultimate, charismatic evil housed behind a pair of cheap sunglasses. If you have not seen Avatar the Last Airbender yet, drop whatever you are doing and go watch it. Both Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Jenna Coleman, playing Morpheus' sister Death and Johanna Constantine, respectively, quite nearly steal the show, both cool and confident in their own way yet with a heartbreaking amount of warmth under the surface. Portraying Morpheus is Tom Sturridge, whose performance works best when his character is out of his element, either facing down the vicious Lucifer (Gwendoline Christie) or having existential pangs of self-doubt. The show moves at quite a brisk pace, given the amount of story these ten episodes cover, but knows exactly when to come up for air before diving back into its own narrative. Right from the opening, with its sprawling sets and impressive visual effects, it's clear that a lot of painstaking hard work has gone into translating The Sandman to the screen. The inaugural season of the Netflix series tackles the first two story arcs of the comic book series, chronicling Morpheus' quest to restore his power and track down the most lethal nightmare of them all.
