This driver I was able to update via the control panel/system/hardware automatically by telling it to update the driver.
The Nvidia Gforce2 card needed an up graded driver but did not crash it just ran slow. My laptop has an intel 965 display and it crashed initially till I located the new intel screen driver. I had touble with the SiS drivers in version nine and an update fixed the problem I have had no trouble with SiS since. Most of the problems are due to the "gui" and the Qt 4.4.3 framework needing upgrades to video drivers. The program has been extensively tested on many systems but we can't test everything. If anything has been done it will indicate where the program stopped. We have the permissions to use these but need to write the necessary interfaces.įor those who are having trouble look in your documents and settings\yourname\application data\stellarium and see what is in the log file. There is a new method of inserting nebula photos with the eventual facility to display DSS sky views.
There has been a lot of not immediately noticeable changes to make the display more lifelike including user control of how and what is displayed. This has been added to by third party ascom control software.
Yes telescope control has been reinstated and the search feature repaired. This will be improved on bit by bit as new software is created. The new release has all the deficiencies of the 0.10.0 beta release corrected although we still only have a rudimmentary scripting feature. I have the package ready but I don't have the facilities to upload it and it is too big to send to the project leader by email so we may need to wait till someone else can make a package or I can get permission to upload it. The Windows version is waiting on the program being up loaded to. The Mac and Linux packages are on the site ready for download. The new release of version 0.10.1 is underway.
